True Story Books

This site was set up initially to promote my three true story books: - I'm Not Naughty - I'm Autistic - Jodi's Journey, Autism, Amalgam and Me - Jodi's Journey Continues. and Mercury Poisoning - It's Not In Our Heads Any More - Jodi's Journey Goes On,

All three books are about my autistic son and are incredibly easy to read. They educate the general public about as well as encourage parents of newly diagnosed autists to believe there can be light at the end of the tunnel. You can buy both books from Amazon.com but if you'd like them signed by Jodi and myself you need to order them direct from this site.

Since then I've unexpectedly written another book. It wasn't planned but Mercury Poisoning - It's Not In Our Heads Any More - Jodi's Journey Goes On was written by special request so now I have three books to promote.

The second reason for this site is to hopefully find some way of employing Jodi when he eventually leaves school. He's eighteen at the moment and the likelihood for adult autists being gainfully employed is very low. He has many qualities however and is capable of so many things with the right support that I'm sure I can occupy him somehow.

Jodi can type, knows how to use the computer and follows instructions. If he's not sure about something he'll also ask for confirmation (not verbally but in his own way which is quite a novelty for a male isn't it?)

The third reason for the site was because someone once said that the sharing of knowledge makes you immortal. I want to share what it's like to live with autism and mercury poisoning.
